Conditions under which an MfN-registered mediator operates

MfN-registered mediators operate under certain conditions. This means that they work according to regulations and models established by the Stichting Kwaliteit Mediators (SKM), the administrator and operator of the MfN register.
Regulations
Every MfN-registered mediator carries out his or her work according to the rules of the ‘mediation regulations for the MfN-registered mediator’ (the basic principles of mediation, such as voluntariness, confidentiality, and secrecy) and in accordance with the ‘code of conduct for the MfN-registered mediator’ (the fundamental principles to which the mediator is bound, such as independence, neutrality, and confidentiality).
