What is Family Mediation?
Family mediation is often confused with therapy, but it is not the same. Therapy goes much further and focuses strongly on the general emotional well-being of the parties. Family mediation, on the other hand, is aimed at a quick, efficient resolution of a specific and defined conflict.
In family mediation, the interests and positions of different family members are clearly and efficiently set out. Then, the parties themselves look for a solution that everyone can agree on, with the mediator guiding the parties throughout this process.

The goal of family mediation is: to resolve a specific and defined conflict. For example, a divorce, a dispute over an inheritance, or a situation in which old grievances disrupt communication between family members.

The subjects of conflict can be diverse:

  • Divorce
  • Old wounds
  • Division of care
  • Division of money and inheritances
  • Conflicts within the family business
  • Long-standing family disputes (Disputes between siblings, or between parents and children)
